Kevin MacDonald joined Sun Microsystems in 2000 where he was responsible for bringing Sun’s newest technologies to market, including J2EE and RFID. He drove early adoption of those technologies in Sun’s top 100 accounts including Fidelity, BMS and Pfizer. Kevin left Sun in late 2004 to join an RFID start-up where he led the software product team, as well as strategic account teams. There he was also responsible for closing some of the largest RFID projects in history and leading their successful implementation. Some of Kevin’s clients included Airbus, Smith & Nephew, and Johnson & Johnson.
In 2011, Kevin co-founded Kit Check where he serves as co-founder and CEO. Kevin has been responsible for the company’s operations and customer development efforts. He developed Kit Check’s early marquee customers including University of Maryland Medical Center and NYU Langone. Kevin is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in computer science.

Tim Kress-Spatz is Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Kit Check and was named by Rock Health as a Top 50 in Digital Health in 2014. He has been programming since the age of 9 and started his professional career on Wall St building highly-scalable consumer and enterprise websites and trading systems. He continued his career focusing on the digital needs of the world’s largest consumer brands. His first startup, Ambush.TV, was created to capitalize on the burgeoning online video space and is currently logging 10m+ views monthly. Tim led the architecture design and system development for Kit Check’s hospital pharmacy kit processing solution. His experience in consumer technology shapes his focus on bringing friendly software to the hospital pharmacy that is easy to install, easy to use and delivers measurable benefits. Tim is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in computer science.

Doug Zurawski spent the first ten years of his career on the provider-side of healthcare serving in various health-system pharmacy leadership positions in Iowa and Michigan. The second ten years of his career were spent in sales and marketing, sales management, and product development on the healthcare pharmacy technology division of McKesson and for technology start-up ForHealth Technologies. ForHealth was the world’s first provider of robotic automation for the compounding of IV admixtures in hospitals and was recently purchased by Baxa Corporation.
In addition, Dr. Zurawski has experience as an independent consultant to hospitals and health systems in a variety of capacities, including information technology, bedside point-of-care scanning, computerized physician order entry and pharmacy operations. He earned his Pharm.D. and has served as an educator and adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy throughout his career. Dr. Zurawski also served as the West Region Director of Pharmacy for the St. John Health System in Detroit, a member of Ascension Health, the largest non-profit health system in the US.

Colin deSa brings over 20 years of software innovation experience in industries ranging from healthcare and financial services to telecommunications and Internet security. Colin joined Kit Check from 3Pillar Global where he served as SVP of Engineering and CTO, was responsible for engineering and R&D and led the development of cloud, sensor, mobile and social network technology based products. He is the holder of nine technology patents in digital cryptosystems and broadband multimedia and earned an MS in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Math from Colorado State University.

Elizabeth Thomas joins Kit Check after five years with telehealth industry leader, InTouch Health. After starting her career at Hewlett-Packard, she served as a Vice President and Executive Vice President at Vivometrics and Mercury Technologies respectively. Ms. Thomas earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from James Madison University and an MBA from Emory University.

Nick Petersen’s background is in project management and product design of electronic medical record systems. Most recently at Epic Systems, he was on the design team for surgery, anesthesia and ambulatory specialty products. As a project manager and physician liaison, he launched several new projects and worked directly with some of Epic’s most prestigious strategic partner institutions including Cambridge University Hospital (UK), the University of Wisconsin, Aurora Healthcare, NYU Langone Medical Center, University of California – San Francisco, Duke University and the University of California – Los Angeles.
Nick earned his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.

Ted Ridgway started his career as an investment banker for Salomon Brothers, Volpe Brown Whelan and Credit Suisse First Boston and has served as CFO, COO and General Manager at several companies including Radisys, Impact Displays and Credit.com. During his career, Mr. Ridgway has managed more than 50 IPOs, 30 M&A Transactions and 20 private capital raises. He earned his MBA from UCLA, undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.

Jen Gitchell joined Kit Check after four years at Epic where she served as a Clinical Project Manager and Anesthesia Development Application Success Owner. In the latter role, Jen collaborated with some of Epic’s highest profile anesthesiologist customers to ensure the product’s features met clinical, patient safety and regulatory requirements. Jen has extensive experience in both customer-centered product development and technology implementation and integration in the surgical suite. Earlier in her career, Jen served as a clinical intern for Cook Children’s Physician Network Neighborhood Clinics, Arlington Center for Dermatology and Hospital Clinica Biblica.
At Kit Check, Jen is the Product Manager for Anesthesia Check. She works directly with anesthesia providers to ensure their requirements are met in a manner that delivers both reliability and ease of use while also directing the hardware and software product design and development teams building out the solution.
Jen earned a B.S. in Nutrition from Texas Christian University and an MPH in Global Health Systems Management from Tulane University.

Nick Stocchero leads the technical support division at Kit Check. Most recently, Nick worked as a team leader in the technical services division at Epic in Madison, Wisconsin. He worked with leading healthcare organizations such as NYU Langone Medical Center, Wake Forest Baptist Health, and Memorial Healthcare System of South Florida. Prior to that, he designed and deployed a web-based student information system for Bradley University, which is still in use today by over 250 employees.
Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Nick holds A+ and Network+ certifications and is also a certified high-school mathematics teacher in the state of Illinois.

Jacki Davis McLain brings seven years of experience selling SaaS solutions and collaborating with customers to help make hospital pharmacies more efficient, and ultimately safer, for patients through the use of technology. Prior to Kit Check, Jacki worked as a Regional Director of Sales for Pharmacy OneSource. Her key focus areas have included USP 797 compliance, medication tracking and patient clinical surveillance.
Jacki resides in Seattle, Washington, covering the Western Region for Kit Check. She earned her B.A. from Gonzaga University.

John Muldoon spent over 14 years at Omnicell where he sold automated pharmacy supply and dispensing solutions. Through the years he has worked extensively with both hospital pharmacists and anesthesiologists. Prior to Kit Check, John was Western Regional Sales Director at Axion Health and served in executive sales roles at Honeywell, Baxter/Caremark and McMurray Stern. His breadth of hospital technology experience for medication tracking has exposed him to the integration requirements of the major hospital IT systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson and Lawson, as well as the different objectives of private, non-profit, public and IDN organizations. He is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago.

Jon Connors joined Kit Check in 2013 from AmerisourceBergen, a Fortune 50 healthcare products leader. At AmerisourceBergen, he was responsible for selling physician order entry systems into large health systems and multi-specialty and community-based practices. He was responsible for the East Coast, where he helped consult with many large health networks as they evaluated electronic medical records and integrated pharmacy solutions. Prior to that, he was a top sales executive for VaultLogix LLC where he sold cloud-based data storage solutions.
Jon graduated from Bentley University with a B.A. in Economics and Finance.

Kevin Henry joins Kit Check from CareFusion’s Pyxis division which acquired his previous company, PhACTS in 2012 where he served as Eastern Region Sales Director. Earlier in his career, Kevin held sales executive roles at Mobile Aspects, Talyst and Cardinal Health. While at Cardinal Health, Kevin worked with both the Pyxis and Alaris products over seven years and has deep experience working directly with both pharmacists and anesthesiologists in medication inventory management solutions.
In the late 1980’s Kevin also served as an officer in the United States Army Reserve Force. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida.

Lila Santoro began her professional career in pharmaceutical sales. She called on physician offices and large teaching hospitals in the Chicagoland area. During her eight years as a Sales Executive for McKesson Automation in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, she partnered with hospital leadership to lower their costs and improve productivity through pharmacy automation solutions.
Lila earned her B.A. from Indiana University Bloomington and MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

MaryAnn Jensen has been extensively involved in the Health Care Industry for over twenty years. She assisted in the development of the reverse distribution industry as one of the first people hired at Capital Returns, Inc. MaryAnn was responsible for developing procedures for highly regulated areas such as Controlled Substance Processing and Tracking. She continued her Health Care career at PharmEcology Services which was later sold to Waste Management Health Care Solutions. Her background includes business development, process development and implementation, sales, and sales management. MaryAnn earned her B.A. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Terri Bowden started her career in health at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 1997 as a laboratory scientist. Her interest in healthcare in the U.S. motivated her to work for large healthcare companies, Bayer and Baxter, where she spent 10 years as a medical sales representative serving hospitals in the Carolinas. Terri’s desire to have a greater impact on improvement of healthcare has led her to join several start-up companies. In 2010, she joined Allos Therapeutics which specialized in novel chemotherapy agents. But her heart is in the hospital, so she returned by joining Pharmacy OneSource in 2011 as a Regional Director of Sales for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Pharmacy OneSource specializes in improving operations and productivity in the hospital pharmacy.
Terri earned her Master of Science in Molecular Biology at Georgia State University in 2001 and an MBA from Pfeiffer University in 2007.

Shelbi Svoboda’s background is in project management in both healthcare and finance, as well as implementation of electronic medical records with Epic Systems. While with Epic, Shelbi focused on the implementation of Epic’s radiology and cardiology software suites with multiple customers throughout the country.
Shelbi earned degrees in Mathematics and Business Administrations with minors in Computer Science and Art History from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She also has her CAPM certification for project management.

Kaitlin Howe graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. After graduation, she worked as a product support specialist for a medical device company at Inova Fairfax hospital. In this roll she developed a love for customer interaction and support.
She started with Kit Check as an account manager for the eastern U.S. in May 2014. Since then, she has enjoyed getting to know all of her accounts and learning their unique Kit Check stories! When not traveling to hospital accounts all across the east coast, she enjoys spending time in DC exploring different shops and restaurants.

Courtney Sindelar started her career with The Principal Financial Group in 2002, where she spent four years and held a number of different roles. These roles included Implementation Project Manager, Education Consultant, and Relationship Manager. It was in the Relationship Manager role that she developed a passion for serving as her clients’ champion and moved to the adviser side of the industry at The Meltzer Group. Here she spent 8 years as a Retirement Consultant, managing over $400 million in assets and roughly 45 clients. Her professional credentials include Series 7 – General Securities Representative, AIF – Accredited Investment Fiduciary, ARPS – Accredited Retirement Plan Specialist, and a Life and Health License.
Courtney earned her B.S. with dual majors in Psychology and Communications and a minor in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University where she was a Varsity Soccer Scholarship Athlete.

Dave Pedra is the Manager of Product Deployment for Anesthesia Check and a member of the Kit Check Customer Success team. He started his career with Teach For America, teaching 7th grade Humanities in Houston, Texas and later serving as a manager of teacher development in Philadelphia, PA. Dave transitioned to Kit Check from his previous role of Strategy Consultant specializing in Workforce Alignment and Human Capital working with our nation’s military healthcare organizations. Outside of the office and hospital Dave can be found running around D.C. or hitting up one of the area’s newest restaurants. He brings a wide array of experiences from his varied background helping ensure Anesthesia Check is focused on meeting all customer needs in an approachable, intuitive, and effective manner.
Dave is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in History and is studying at Georgetown University to earn his Masters in Business Administration.

Mahesh Murali is a biomedical engineer with experience in project management and medical device design. He started his career in Philadelphia with a design consulting firm, Design Science, where he led projects designing surgical instruments and applying human factors engineering to other medical devices. As a project manager he worked directly with many of Design Science’s largest clients including Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi, and Hospira.
At Kit Check, Mahesh leads implementations at hospital sites, works on projects to refine our solution hardware design, and has led recent RF engineering efforts around RFID tag evaluation.
Mahesh is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Lauren Kokernak’s background is in user experience, project management, implementation, and technology design. She recently obtained an M.S. in Information Management, Technology Development and Deployment from the University of Maryland, College Park. While in graduate school, she worked with a user experience company on the design of new healthcare mobile applications. Before that, she worked in the conference planning industry as a meeting planner and acted as project manager for implementing new conference technologies for her companies.
At Kit Check, Lauren leads hospital implementations and holds the company record for the most solution installs.
In addition to her M.S. from University of Maryland, Lauren also earned a B.A. in Communications from American University in Washington, DC.

Tyler Robertson joins the Kit Check team from a career in hospital administration. Most recently, Tyler worked at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC in Performance Improvement. He managed a variety of multi-disciplinary teams focusing on improving clinical processes. Additionally, Tyler spearheaded an organizational initiative to use Lean Principles to optimize a variety of operational issues across the organization.
Tyler received his undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Health Administration with a focus in Finance.

Scott Kinsky has a background in implementation, project management, process design and training for medical software solutions. Prior to Kit Check, Scott worked for the industry leader in ambulatory surgery center software, Source Medical, as both a trainer and implementation specialist. He also served as a Business Manager for ambulatory surgery center management group, Physicians Endoscopy, helping facilitate new surgery centers and acquisitions to increase profitability and efficiency. Early in his career, Scott served as a professor of English for nearly three years at Hanyang University in South Korea. At Kit Check, Scott is a product delivery and implementation manager.
Scott is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with a B.A. and M.A. in History.

Max Weiner is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he received a degree in Film Production and helped launch the university publication’s online media presence. Prior to working at Kit Check, Max worked for The Northridge Group, a management consultancy in Chicago, covering a wide variety of industry verticals, including healthcare. His primary focus was in process improvement and customer experience.
At Kit Check, Max is a hospital implementation manager and is developing new video-based training materials that will serve as a quick reference when hospitals add new users. Max is happy to have recently moved back to his hometown of Washington, D.C.
