Virginia Beach, VA — Kit Check™ (https://kitcheck.com), the leader in hospital pharmacy kit processing automation, today announced that its cloud software solution for pharmacy kits has tracked its one-millionth medication with RFID. The medication receiving RFID tag number one million was an epinephrine ampule created by Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on January 31, 2014.
“Tracking over one million medications with Kit Check indicates that the system is scalable, directors of pharmacy have achieved unprecedented medication visibility and our user base is growing quickly. Kit Check users tracked more medications with RFID in the month of January 2014 than they did in all of 2012. That volume increase is having a big impact on hospital pharmacy efficiency and safety,” commented Kit Check Co-founder and CEO Kevin MacDonald.
Kit Check Co-founder and CTO Tim Kress-Spatz added, “We started Kit Check with a focus on solving challenges faced by hospital pharmacies. We wanted to address those challenges with software that was easy to use and made a big impact. It is clear that hospitals are seeing measurable benefits as they continue to increase usage. I look forward to helping pharmacies track their next million medications.”
