Kit Check CEO Kevin MacDonald was recently interviewed by HIStalk and shared some thoughts on where the company started, where it is today, and where it’s headed. “We are approaching 500 hospitals now and growing very quickly. We are thrilled that we’re now tracking more than one new medication every second, but there’s still a lot of room to grow,” commented MacDonald.
One the key items that the HIStalk editor keyed in on was Kit Check’s scale and how that adds value for hospitals with specific features such as recalls and benchmarking. Kevin also emphasized the value that the company’s leading market share has in helping identify drug diversion:
“With controlled substances, the more data we have in the system across hospitals, the more we can learn additional patterns of how people divert medications. We can then make everyone smarter along the way.”
