Kevin MacDonald
Kevin MacDonald has worked with Internet of Things (IoT), RFID and cloud software technologies for more than 15 years and has been recognized for numerous industry awards including being named Top 50 in Digital Health by Rock Health and as a finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year in the DC region in 2015. He is also named as an inventor on six patents related to IoT usage in healthcare.
Kevin co-founded Kit Check in 2011 as its CEO and bootstrapped the company through its first 16 hospital customers. Along with his co-founder, Kevin subsequently raised $22 million in venture funding and led the company’s rapid growth to over 250 hospitals that have automated tracking and management for more than 11 million medications. Kit Check represents the fastest known growth rate for pharmacy technology adoption and has been recognized as a UHC Start-up Challenge Finalist, a Health IT Start-up to Watch by Becker’s, a Technology Breakthrough Product by Premier, and the Hottest Start-up in Washington, DC. Kevin is seen as an innovator for bringing both IoT and cloud technologies to the hospital pharmacy for the first time.
Prior to Kit Check, Kevin served in executive and technical roles at Sun Microsystems and ODIN Technologies working with companies ranging from Smith; Nephew and Johnson & Johnson to Pfizer, BMS, Fidelity and Airbus. Kevin is an accomplished Karaoke singer and a graduate of 2016 NCAA Basketball Champion Villanova University where he earned a degree in computer science.

Tim Kress-Spatz
Tim Kress-Spatz is Co-founder of Kit Check and was named to Rock Health’s Top 50 in Digital Health in 2014. He has been programming since the age of 9 and started his professional career on Wall Street building highly-scalable consumer and enterprise websites and trading systems. He continued his career focusing on the digital needs of the world’s largest consumer brands. Tim led the architecture design and system development for Kit Check’s hospital pharmacy kit processing solution. His experience in consumer technology shapes his focus on bringing friendly software to the hospital pharmacy that is easy to install, easy to use and delivers measurable benefits. Tim is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in computer science.

Erica Tingley
Erica Tingley leads the Finance and Operations teams for Kit Check. In that role, she’s responsible for setting and managing the company’s financial objectives as well as ensuring prompt and effective delivery of the company’s software.
Erica has over 20 years of experience serving healthcare companies around strategy, finance and M&A. She started her career and spent nearly 10 years in investment banking at Merrill Lynch, executing over 30 transactions valued at over $60 billion. Erica has also driven corporate development and corporate finance efforts at The Advisory Board and Perrigo. She holds a BA in Applied Math and Economics from Harvard University and an MBA in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Amy Langan
Amy Langan leads the Kit Check marketing team as Chief Marketing Officer. She has over 25 years of product, marketing, and development experience in the pharmaceutical and health care industries. Before joining Kit Check in January 2019, Langan served as vice president of marketing and business development at AmerisourceBergen where she focused on providing pharmaceutical products, value-driving services and business solutions that improve access to care. Most recently, Langan served as senior vice president of marketing and sales at Fresenius Kabi where she worked closely with generic injectable drugs for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition.

Vijay Venkatesh
Vijay was previously Chief Technology Officer at MakeSpace where he led production and engineering teams, growing the business from four markets to 31 markets in the span of a year. Before MakeSpace, he spent much of his career working as a Chief Technology Officer for companies including Emissary, Amplify, and Pearson Education. He looks forward to executing a multi-year technology strategy to scale and guide the company into the future, through enhancements in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and architecture and design.

Mialeeka “Mia” Williams-Bibbs
As General Counsel of Kit Check, Mialeeka “Mia” Williams-Bibbs brings over 20 years of experience providing creative solutions to complex legal and operational issues. Previously she served at McKesson Corporation as Chief Counsel of the U.S. Pharmaceuticals Health Systems segment. Prior to joining McKesson, Mia served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Addivant where she created a global legal department, developed an international compliance program and oversaw Addivant’s intellectual property portfolio. Previously, she served as Innovation Counsel for The Coca-Cola Company. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Mia worked as in-house patent counsel for Rhodia Inc. Mia has also practiced law as a law firm associate. She is a graduate of George Washington University Law School and a proud Bison with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Howard University.

Themis Elian
Themis has a background in healthcare working as a breast cancer research assistant at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) during her undergraduate years at The George Washington University. She joined Kit Check in 2017 and has managed hundreds of Kit Check product implementations.

Ramsey Chambers
Ramsey joined Kit Check in 2015 to build out a Product Management function after a decade leading product organizations at various successful ed tech ventures. Fast forward 6 years, Ramsey’s team of product leaders and UX designers have successfully launched 4 new products while growing the Kit Check customer base by 700%.

Michelle Wood
Michelle previously led sales, marketing and customer service at SCA Pharma where she helped grow SCA’s customer base from 30 to 1,000 while building out a world class team to service SCA’s customer base. She has spent much of her career in the health and medical sales industry, previously holding senior positions at Omnicell and SCA Pharma. She brings expertise in sales strategy and a strong background in internal and external relationship management. She looks forward to leading our commercial team as we grow to serve more health systems with a broader set of offerings.

Nick Petersen
Nick helps generic drug companies, 503B syringe compounders and tech companies in the pharmaceutical industry ready their products and equipment for the next generation of medication tracking. He spends his days making sure the drugs Kit Check’s customers need are available in a pre-tagged format, and that manufacturers can better understand how their products are used, so that the future of hospital pharmacy is better than the present. Prior to his position in corporate development, Nick ran the Customer Success organization for Kit Check. Before Kit Check, he was a project and product manager at Epic Systems, specializing in specialist practices, anesthesia and surgery management systems.
Clinical Team

Doug Zurawski
Doug Zurawski currently serves as Senior Vice President, Clinical Strategy at Kit Check, the leader in automated and intelligent medication management solutions. His goal is to dramatically improve the efficiency and safety of handling and tracking medications in hospitals. Zurawski spent the first 10 years of his career on the provider-side of healthcare serving in various health-system pharmacy leadership positions in Iowa and Michigan. The second 10 years of his career were spent in sales and marketing, sales management, and product development on the healthcare pharmacy technology division of McKesson and for technology start-up ForHealth Technologies, the world’s first provider of robotic automation for the compounding of IV admixtures in hospitals. In addition, Dr. Zurawski has experience as an independent consultant to hospitals and health systems in a variety of capacities, including IT, bedside point-of-care scanning, computerized physician order entry and pharmacy operations. He holds a Pharm.D. and serves as an educator and adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan and University of Maryland Eastern Shore Colleges of Pharmacy.

AJ Rivosecchi
AJ completed his undergraduate studies and Pharmacy school at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. He has over 10 years of hospital pharmacy experience, most recently serving as the Manager of Pharmacy Operations for UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh where he championed many process improvement projects including implementing a controlled substance diversion monitoring program in conjunction with nursing leadership. AJ was active in Health System Pharmacy Operations planning and initiatives including policy review and development, chairing the UPMC Pharmacy Operations Finance committee and serving on the Health System Pharmacy Operations Construction and Diversion committees. AJ has extensive experience in all aspects of health system pharmacy operations, controlled substance management, coordinating diversion investigations, peri-operative pharmacy services and pharmacy automation.

Scott Person
Scott has worked in hospital pharmacy since the early 2000s and held many roles in that time including Oncology, Pediatrics, Midnights, Adult Inpatient Pharmacy PIC, Controlled Vault PIC, & Supply Chain Management to name a few. I graduated from Shenandoah University with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).

Jennifer Splawski
Jennifer is a passionate pharmacy leader with 10+ years of experience creating pharmacy service lines. Most recently Jennifer served as the Clinical Coordinator for Loyola University Medicine – MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL with a primary practice area in Emergency Medicine. As a coordinator, one of her many responsibilities included reviewing and trending hospital-wide medication safety errors and collaboratively working with other departments to create systems to prevent medication errors. She believes that information technology solutions are crucial to reducing medication errors and keeping our patients safe. She has received her Bachelors of Science degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Masters of Science degree in Pharmacy focusing in Toxicology from the University of Florida. She has completed a postgraduate year one residency at the University of California at San Francisco and is a Board-Certified Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Lauren Forni
Lauren Forni is the Director of Clinical Solutions for Kit Check, the leader in automated and intelligent medication management solutions. Lauren has 8 years of pharmacy management experience, most recently serving as the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Services at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. She is passionate about modernizing health systems through innovation and technology solutions to empower clinicians and improve patient care. Lauren has expertise in improving strategic, operational, and financial performance within a health system and has extensive knowledge of pharmacy supply chain, pharmacy operations, informatics and information systems, 340B, and drug diversion.

Alex Clark
Alex Clark joined Kit Check in March 2020 as the Product Owner for Bluesight for Controlled Substances. She has worked as a business analyst and on product teams for over 3 years and has a passion for driving meaningful product solutions with a focus on customer obsession. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics from Old Dominion University.

Alex Han
Alex has been selling compliance SaaS solutions since 2013, and working with hospital pharmacies since 2017. Alex received a BA from the University of Waterloo, not far from where he grew up in Toronto, Ontario. Alex lives in Madison, WI with his wife and 3 boys. He enjoys golfing when he’s not coaching/watching his boys t-ball / soccer / basketball games.

Arie Mangrum IV
Ex-Techie (current geek) who found himself dissatisfied with the recruiting experience for IT professionals, so I decided to change it. Two years as a third-party recruiter led me to start my own recruiting company, and after moving to DC in 2019 I found myself looking for a great company to be a part of. Excited to build a dynamic, passionate, diverse team here at Kit Check!

Brian Pare
Brian has been selling SaaS solutions into the hospital pharmacy space since 2010. Brian brings broad knowledge of regulatory compliance and operational efficiency which helps hospitals enhance outcomes and improve patient safety. Brian joined Kit Check in 2021 and is responsible for new business in the Northeast. Brian has a B.S. in Business Administration from Ithaca College and lives in Newcastle, WA with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys various outdoor adventures (sometimes with family) and likes traveling around the Pacific Northwest.

Chris Hale
Christopher Hale is a Technical Support Engineer within the Kit Check Support Team. Before joining the Kit Check team, Christopher taught adults with disabilities about the IT field and certain life skills. Christopher is CompTIA A+ and Network+ certified. Christopher is currently pursuing his CompTIA Security+ certification. Christopher’s main priority is delivering a pleasant customer experience.

Christian Doyle
Christian Doyle is the Director of Engineering on the Kit Check Engineering Team. Prior to Kit Check, he worked at LivingSocial as a software developer. Before that role, he was a developer at Global Strategies Group and a small RFID company. Christian has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from George Washington University.

Christina Shelton
I graduated in April 2021 with my Master’s in Nursing Informatics. I enjoy living in the Sunshine State with my two Golden Retriever puppies, Harley Quinn and Jasmine, my two cats, Marley and Dylan, and my hedgehog, Mr. Pooferson. I spend my free time with my nose in a good book, relaxing on the beach, fishing, and hiking. I also take trips to the mountains to go snowboarding.

Craig Boyd
I joined Kit Check in 2020 from AmerisourceBergen, where I spent 5 years in supply chain operations followed by a transition into sales and specialty services, working closely with regional health systems and large IDNs to drive strategic partnerships. I now own the customer experience post-implementation for the suite of solutions at Kit Check, working to drive value and optimization through goals and outcomes with customers. I am a desert dweller since birth, born and raised in Arizona and obtained a Bachelor’s in Management from the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU. Go Devils!

Darwin Fu
Darwin Fu is a Data Scientist at Kit Check with a background in drug discovery and healthcare. He enjoys applying his research experience to answer data challenges of all shapes and sizes. Originally from California, Darwin holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Vanderbilt.

Emily Caccamo
Emily has been with Kit Check for 3+ years, joining Kit Check from the Advisory Board Company. Emily serves as a dedicated resource and trusted advisor to all Kit Check Customers in the Southeast region of the United States. She is a Certified Customer Success Manager (CSM) and is passionate about helping Customers achieve value and success. Emily graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology.

Eric Carr

Erin Szarpa
Erin Szarpa is the Engineering Manager for the Bluesight for Controlled Substances Team. Prior to joining Kit Check, she spent over a decade with VitalSource, building scalable solutions for getting digital course materials into the hands of millions of students worldwide. Erin has a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Gina Knop
Gina Knop is an Implementation Specialist for Bluesight for Controlled Substances. Gina brings over 5 years of Healthcare Project Management experience, with experience in hospital administration and medical software implementation. These experiences led Gina to Kit Check, where she is excited to solve problems and help customers leverage data. Gina enjoys problem solving, organization and efficiency. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of South Florida.

Jacki McLain
Jacki brings 14 years of experience selling SaaS solutions and collaborating with customers to become more efficient and ultimately safer for patients through the use of technology. Jacki joined Kit Check in 2013 and is responsible for the Western United States, including many of Kit Check’s major IDN partners. As the Vice President of Sales and Account Management, her team is responsible for new sales, account retention and optimizing value for our customers.

Jessica Schaef

Jonathan Connors
Jon Connors joined Kit Check in 2013 from AmerisourceBergen, a Fortune 50 healthcare products leader. At AmerisourceBergen, he was responsible for selling physician order entry systems into large health systems and multi-specialty and community-based practices. He was responsible for the East Coast, where he helped consult with many large health networks as they evaluated electronic medical records and integrated pharmacy solutions. Prior to that, he was a top sales executive for VaultLogix LLC where he sold cloud-based data storage solutions.
Jon graduated from Bentley University with a B.A. in Economics and Finance.

Katie Verrant
Katie Verrant works on improving and designing exceptional user experience for various Kit Check products. The best part of her job is listening to customer’s challenges and working towards making their job slightly easier. She has a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in New Media Design and Imaging.

Katy Mayer
Katy Mayer is an Implementation Specialist for Bluesight for Controlled Substances. She enjoys problem solving and is passionate about leveraging the power of data for our customers. Since 2016 she’s enjoyed working with our Kit Check customers in a variety of ways, ask her about some of her favorite experiences!

Kevin Ewoldt
Kevin Ewoldt is a software engineer on the Kit Check Engineering Team. Before joining Kit Check, Kevin spent 15+ years programming in a variety of fields including the Department of Defense, finance corporations, and media companies. He graduated from Loyola University and spends his free time attending any live music show he can.

Konrad Crabtree
Konrad Crabtree has been consulting with hospital pharmacies since 2002 to improve regulatory compliance, maximize operations efficiency, and escalate patient safety. Konrad lives in Lake Tapps, WA along with his wife and 4 daughters. He has a B.A. in Japanese from Brigham Young University, which has come in very helpful for the three Japanese conversations he’s had at ASHP meetings over the past 19 years.

Lori Murphy
Lori works with generic drug companies and 503B compounders to bring more RFID-enabled products to market, increasing the availability of pre-tagged drugs for our customers. Lori is also responsible for selling DoseData, helping Kit Check’s pharmaceutical partners make data-backed strategic business decisions. Prior to joining Kit Check, Lori worked in the healthcare startup space and spent a decade at The Advisory Board Company. Lori earned her MPH from Tulane University in New Orleans and holds a BA in Women’s Studies from UMass Amherst.

Lorin Chun
Lorin is the technical writer for all of Kit Check’s robust products. She is a Utah State University graduate with a B.S. degree in Technical Writing & Communications. Prior to Kit Check, her experience includes writing for companies in the medical software and eCommerce industries. Lorin loves traveling, exercising, reading, writing, and spending time with her family eating good food and playing games.

Lucas McCanna
Lucas is a seasoned marketing, digital, and strategy professional with over five years of experience. His marketing experience ranges across multiple disciplines, including strategic growth, communications, and public relations. He has a particular affinity for startups where Kit Check is his third startup where he focused on growth.

Maggie Styk
Maggie joined Kit Check in November 2019. She brings several years of experience in leadership development experience in a variety of industries. Maggie earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Analytical and Physical Chemistry from Lehigh University and her Masters degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Columbia University. She is also a certified Associate Professional in Human Resources.

Max Wiggins

Mike Olson
Mike is the Product Manager for Kit Check and is focused on making medication intelligence a reality for the hospital pharmacy. Before joining Kit Check, Mike worked in product management at Cambridge Associates, a leading investment management firm. Mike earned his B.A. from the University of Richmond and has spent time living abroad in England and Ecuador.

Morgan Posewitz
Morgan’s favorite Core Value is Get Sh*t Done because it fits well with her tenacity to not let a rock go unturned. Morgan is passionate about the empowerment Kit Check’s RFID data brings to the customer as well as the visibility and call to action the data from Bluesight for Controlled Substances brings to the table. Since 2017, she has taken pride in helping people achieve their goals in the Pharmacy environment.

Nathalie Aferiat
Nathalie Aferiat is the Product Manager for Learning and Development at Kit Check. Before joining Kit Check Nathalie worked at the Advisory Board as a Senior Analyst where she led consulting projects for hospitals across the United States. Nathalie majored in Biochemistry at Barnard and concentrated in Epidemiology at the Masters in Public Health Program at Yale.

Nick Fishter
Nick Fishter is a Technical Support Engineer within the Kit Check Support Team. Prior to joining Kit Check, Nick was a Network Support Technician for a large bank. While there, he supported end users with various problems related to networking and software. Nick loves working with customers to help them overcome their problems.

Ramsey Doany
Ramsey Doany is the Principal Hardware Engineer for Kit Check. He is responsible for R&D and technical management of Kit Check’s RFID solutions. Prior to Kit Check, he worked as an FPGA design engineer in the Space Science & Engineering division at the Southwest Research Institute and a Software-Defined Radio Systems Engineer at Ettus Research/National Instruments. He holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Texas State University with a focus on RFID and Communication Systems.

Sage Nelson
Sage has been working with Hospital Pharmacy for over 11 years in aspects of regulatory compliance, workflow optimization, IV Room design and IV robotics. All of these aspects result in a more efficient pharmacy which looks to free up pharmacy staff to focus on better patient care. Sage joined the team in 2021 and will be responsible for new sales in the Midwest territory. Sage has an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and lives on Whidbey Island in WA state. When not working Sage enjoys golf and is a classic car enthusiast.

Salih Tuzen
Salih Tuzen is a Data Analyst at Kit Check. Prior to Kit Check, he worked as a Data Analyst at The Villages. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Master’s degree in Statistical Computing/Data Mining. He is excited to be utilizing data analytics, statistics and machine learning to assist healthcare professionals meet their goals.

Samir Neyazi
Samir Neyazi is the Senior Product Manager for Bluesight for Controlled Substances. Samir is responsible for the development and implementation of the product strategy, execution on the product roadmap, and planning of go-to-market strategies for the business line. Samir’s background is in other B2B SaaS product roles at early-stage startup, Convoke, and top Canadian software company, OpenText, has been focused on helping customers solve complex information supply-chain challenges. Samir earned his B.S from James Madison University.

Tyler Turim
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors in Strategic Communications. I have over 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles, so I’m excited to bring that outlook to the recruiting experience at Kit Check as we grow the company. I spend my spare time keeping up with the Chicago Bulls, Cubs, Bears, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Win Sager
Win is a Senior Solutions Consultant at Kit Check who strives to assure customer success by aligning product configuration with customer needs and workflows. He collaborates with stake holders at individual hospitals as well as enterprise levels to help develop and deliver results for financial and operational initiatives. He spent his previous 8 years at Wolters Kluwer Health driving the successful use of a clinical decision support tool for pharmacists. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, the city he calls home.
