1. The restocking process starts when a used kit is returned to Pharmacy from anywhere in the hospital. Manual processing requires a pharmacy technician to pick up and examine every medication to determine what is missing and/or nearing expiration.
  2. With Kit Check, the technician simply places the returned pharmacy kit into the blue scanning station, closes the doors, and clicks “scan” on the PC.
  3. Kit Check software displays which items need to be restocked or removed. Working from that report, the pharmacy technician restocks the kit and places the tray back into the scanning station for a validation scan.
  4. If there are no errors, the application shows a “Your Kit is Complete” message. The technician then clicks “Print” to generate a charge sheet to be included with the kit when it is sealed, and the kit is sent back out.
