Kevin MacDonald has worked with Internet of Things (IoT), RFID and cloud software technologies for more than 15 years and has been recognized for numerous industry awards including being named Top 50 in Digital Health by Rock Health and as a finalist for E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in the DC region in 2015. He is also named as an inventor on six patents related to IoT usage in healthcare.
Kevin co-founded Kit Check in 2011 as its CEO and bootstrapped the company through its first 16 hospital customers. Along with his co-founder, Kevin subsequently raised $22 million in venture funding and led the company’s rapid growth to over 250 hospitals that have automated tracking and management for more than 11 million medications. Kit Check represents the fastest known growth rate for pharmacy technology adoption and has been recognized as a UHC Start-up Challenge Finalist, a Health IT Start-up to Watch by Becker’s, a Technology Breakthrough Product by Premier, and the Hottest Start-up in Washington, DC. Kevin is seen as an innovator for bringing both IoT and cloud technologies to the hospital pharmacy for the first time.
Prior to Kit Check, Kevin served in executive and technical roles at Sun Microsystems and ODIN Technologies working with companies ranging from Smith & Nephew and Johnson & Johnson to Pfizer, BMS, Fidelity and Airbus. Kevin is an accomplished Karaoke singer and a graduate of 2016 NCAA Basketball Champion Villanova University where he earned a degree in computer science.

Tim Kress-Spatz is Co-founder of Kit Check and was named by Rock Health as a Top 50 in Digital Health in 2014. He has been programming since the age of 9 and started his professional career on Wall Street building highly-scalable consumer and enterprise websites and trading systems. He continued his career focusing on the digital needs of the world’s largest consumer brands. His first startup, Ambush.TV, was created to capitalize on the burgeoning online video space and is currently logging 10m+ views monthly. Tim led the architecture design and system development for Kit Check’s hospital pharmacy kit processing solution. His experience in consumer technology shapes his focus on bringing friendly software to the hospital pharmacy that is easy to install, easy to use and delivers measurable benefits.
Tim is a graduate of Villanova University with a degree in computer science.

Cameron Ferroni started his career at Microsoft writing mouse driver code in assembly language, before moving on to the Windows NT, Internet Information Server teams, and ultimately being one of the founders of Xbox and Xbox Live. Post Microsoft, he has held a variety of C-Level roles at Marchex, Gridpoint, and most recently TheClymb.com.
He graduated from the University of Waterloo, with a BASc in Computer Engineering.

Gary Voydanoff has over 25 years of healthcare experience, including a long tenure with QSI/NextGen Healthcare where he was most recently EVP of Sales and Marketing, and a key contributor to the QSI Executive Committee. Gary was integral in leading the growth of NextGen’s predecessor, Clinitec, from it’s start-up phase to nearly $500 million in annual revenue during his tenure.
As a veteran of the healthcare IT industry, Gary has a keen understanding of how technology can transform healthcare and move from vision to reality. His experience brings a deep understanding of both the hospital and ambulatory market segments, as well as the healthcare regulatory environment and the transition to value based care.
Gary is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BS in Nutritional Science.

Kristyn Reed-Salow leads the Finance and Operations teams at Kit Check and brings over 15 years of executive experience growing software companies. She served as CFO at several companies including Law.com, Mantas Inc. (Sold to Oracle), Fishbowl Inc., and most recently, Framebridge. Kristyn spent the first six years of her career as a manager at Ernst & Young. Her focus is on growth software and analytics companies and she has been involved in significant merger and acquisitions over the years. Kristyn is committed to innovation, practical problem solving, and hands-on leadership.
She earned her MA in Economic Development from the University of Chicago and holds an Accounting degree from Michigan State University. She is a CPA and CMA.

Doug Zurawski spent the first ten years of his career on the provider-side of healthcare serving in various health-system pharmacy leadership positions in Iowa and Michigan. The second ten years of his career were spent in sales and marketing, sales management, and product development on the healthcare pharmacy technology division of McKesson and for technology start-up ForHealth Technologies. ForHealth was the world’s first provider of robotic automation for the compounding of IV admixtures in hospitals and was recently purchased by Baxa Corporation.
In addition, Dr. Zurawski has experience as an independent consultant to hospitals and health systems in a variety of capacities, including information technology, bedside point-of-care scanning, computerized physician order entry and pharmacy operations. He earned his Pharm.D. and has served as an educator and adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy throughout his career. Dr. Zurawski also served as the West Region Director of Pharmacy for the St. John Health System in Detroit, a member of Ascension Health, the largest non-profit health system in the US.

Nick Petersen’s background is in project management and product design of electronic medical record systems. Most recently at Epic Systems, he was on the design team for surgery, anesthesia and ambulatory specialty products. As a project manager and physician liaison, he launched several new projects and worked directly with some of Epic’s most prestigious strategic partner institutions including Cambridge University Hospital (UK), the University of Wisconsin, Aurora Healthcare, NYU Langone Medical Center, University of California – San Francisco, Duke University and the University of California – Los Angeles.
Nick earned his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.

Ramsey Chambers leads our Product Management group that works diligently to define our product roadmap, vision and design features that deliver real value to our clients. His background in product leadership includes stints in healthcare and education at companies such as Best Doctors, Meridian Knowledge Solutions and Blackboard. Ramsey joined Blackboard early on and contributed to the company’s growth as it expanded both domestically and internationally. During his time there, Blackboard reached over 70% of the U.S. Higher Education market. Ramsey takes a user-centric approach to product management and strives to include actual users of the system in helping design features that deliver real value.
Ramsey earned his B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University, has spent time living abroad in both Spain and Brazil, and has a latent fluency in both Spanish and Portuguese.

MaryAnn Jensen has been extensively involved in the Health Care Industry for over twenty years. She assisted in the development of the reverse distribution industry as one of the first people hired at Capital Returns, Inc. MaryAnn was responsible for developing procedures for highly regulated areas such as Controlled Substance Processing and Tracking. She continued her Health Care career at PharmEcology Services which was later sold to Waste Management Health Care Solutions. Her background includes business development, process development and implementation, sales, and sales management. MaryAnn earned her B.A. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Katy Ross began her career in HR when working for a training company that specializes in sales, project management, and business analysis. Prior to joining Kit Check, she worked in HR for a government contractor specializing in IT.
Katy graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing with a minor in Psychology.

Jon Connors joined Kit Check in 2013 from AmerisourceBergen, a Fortune 50 healthcare products leader. At AmerisourceBergen, he was responsible for selling physician order entry systems into large health systems and multi-specialty and community-based practices. He was responsible for the East Coast, where he helped consult with many large health networks as they evaluated electronic medical records and integrated pharmacy solutions. Prior to that, he was a top sales executive for VaultLogix LLC where he sold cloud-based data storage solutions.
Jon graduated from Bentley University with a B.A. in Economics and Finance.

Shelbi Svoboda’s background is in project management in both healthcare and finance, as well as implementation of electronic medical records with Epic Systems. While with Epic, Shelbi focused on the implementation of Epic’s radiology and cardiology software suites with multiple customers throughout the country.
Shelbi earned degrees in Mathematics and Business Administrations with minors in Computer Science and Art History from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She has her PMP certification for project management and is trained in Tableau.

Denette Miller Cronkright is Sales Director for the Midwest region. Denette started her career as a Cardiac Tech and later became a Physical Therapy Assistant before moving into medical device sales roles that initially included a focus on products for anesthesia at Minrad. Her past experience also includes work for Covidien, Intuitive Surgical, and Masimo. In these roles Denette worked closely with surgeons and other OR suite care providers.
Denette received a BS in Exercise Science and a Certificate in Business Studies from Indiana University. She also received a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis.

Richard Ivey has 28 years of experience in Healthcare Information Technology and Robotic Automation experience with a focus on improving medication safety and the patient experience for healthcare partners. He is passionate about improving healthcare for all stakeholders. Richard has excelled as a Sales Representative and as a Division VP at both small entrepreneurial companies and a Fortune 15 company.
Interests: Hanging at the beach with family and friends, Working out, Golf, Renovating beach homes
Mike Barr has 30 years of Healthcare experience in sales and sales management. Over the last 15 years he has been in the Information Technology and Automation space with Cardinal Health and CareFusion selling and managing within the Pyxis business unit. He developed strong relationships within IDNs across the US by bringing new and inventive approaches to challenges that face Healthcare Executives. Early in Mike’s career, he sold for J&J Orthopedics, Laserscope Surgical System and Steris. In each case he worked closely with clinicians to help improve outcomes for their patients.
Interests: Spending time with family and friends and a little golf when time permits.
Craig Calcaterra is the southeast region sales director for the Kit Check sales team and brings nearly 30 years of experience working directly with the pharmacy and OR in adopting new technology. He recently worked with pharmacists to implement web-based electronic surveillance of medications and earlier in his career provided medical monitoring devices and supplies for cardiac, respiratory and anesthesia. Craig’s experience includes work for Cardinal Health, Zoll Medical, Philips Medical Systems, Masimo and Wolters Kluwer.
Craig receive a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing with a Statistical Analysis Emphasis from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks.

Jacki Davis McLain brings seven years of experience selling SaaS solutions and collaborating with customers to help make hospital pharmacies more efficient, and ultimately safer, for patients through the use of technology. Prior to Kit Check, Jacki worked as a Regional Director of Sales for Pharmacy OneSource. Her key focus areas have included USP 797 compliance, medication tracking and patient clinical surveillance.
Jacki resides in Seattle, Washington, covering the Western Region for Kit Check. She earned her B.A. from Gonzaga University.

Scott Kinsky has a background in implementation, project management, process design and training for medical software solutions. Prior to Kit Check, Scott worked for the industry leader in ambulatory surgery center software, Source Medical, as both a trainer and implementation specialist. He also served as a Business Manager for ambulatory surgery center management group, Physicians Endoscopy, helping facilitate new surgery centers and acquisitions to increase profitability and efficiency. Early in his career, Scott served as a professor of English for nearly three years at Hanyang University in South Korea.
Scott is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany with a B.A. and M.A. in History and holds a CompTIA Network+ certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Hannah Byam joins Kit Check from a career in non-profit management and event planning. Over six years with the Future of Music Coalition, Hannah produced five national conferences and managed all administrative, financial and staffing matters in addition to the organization’s events and outreach strategies. She also supported FMC’s international copyright and compensation research and led the organization’s communications strategy and web properties. Hannah’s professional experience also includes website architecture and content development; training development and delivery; instructional design and brand management; and includes several years managing a high-end retail operation with annual location-specific sales surpassing $3 million.
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Hannah completed her undergraduate studies at the George Washington University. She also received a master’s degree in Global Communication from GW, focusing on public diplomacy.

Hannah Holtzman’s background is in project management, implementation and long-term utilization of healthcare performance technologies. Most recently at the Advisory Board Company, she specialized in increasing data transparency of physician quality and utilization metrics as a means of performance improvement and cost reduction. As a physician engagement liaison, she worked with large academic medical centers to improve physician participation in change management and lean workflows. Prior to this role, she with worked as an implementation consultant with the clinical documentation and CPOE teams at Epic. At Kit Check, Hannah brings years of experience in inpatient technology deployments to the Kit Check and Anesthesia Check implementations.
Hannah is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia with a degree in Political Science.

Tyler Robertson joins the Kit Check team from a career in hospital administration. Most recently, Tyler worked at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC in Performance Improvement. He managed a variety of multi-disciplinary teams focusing on improving clinical processes. Additionally, Tyler spearheaded an organizational initiative to use Lean Principles to optimize a variety of operational issues across the organization.
Tyler received his undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Health Administration with a focus in Finance.

Katy Mayer is a Front Line Support Engineer within the Kit Check Support Team. Prior to joining Kit Check, Katy worked as an Epic EMR Implementation Specialist for Select Medical in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she helped develop and implement an EMR system for Rehab and Long Term Acute Care Facilities.
She is a graduate of Messiah College in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Chris Franklin is a Technical Support Manager within the Kit Check Support Team. He graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems. Previously, he worked as a systems coordinator for The Emmes Corporation providing IT support to NCI’s Central Institutional Review Board. His goal is to assist in making the user experience as simple and intuitive as possible.

Christopher Hale is a Front Line Support Engineer within the Kit Check Support Team. Before joining the Kit Check team, Christopher taught adults with disabilities about the IT field and certain life skills. Christopher is CompTIA A+ and Network+ certified. Christopher is currently pursuing his CompTIA Security+ certification. Christopher’s main priority is delivering a pleasant customer experience.

Nick Fishter is a Front Line Technical Support Engineer within the Kit Check Support Team. Prior to joining Kit Check, Nick was a Network Support Technician for a large bank. While there, he supported end users with various problems related to networking and software. Nick loves working with customers to help them overcome their problems.

Omar Mugica is a Front Line Support Engineer within the Kit Check Support Team. Prior to joining Kitcheck, Omar worked as a Helpdesk Technician and System Administrator for a Managed Service Provider, supporting numerous NGOs and for-profit businesses in New York City and the D.C. area. Originally from Arizona, Omar brings a lot of experience from his background in technical and customer service related positions.

Gabe Fuentes is a Technical Support Manager within the Kit Check Support Team. He graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management, concentrating in Technology and Entrepreneurship. At his previous career, he helped create the client support and operations positions from the ground up at a DC startup focusing on technology in restaurants. He brings a lot of experience from his background in client support, back end web development and client operations.

Jeremy Yanowitz is the Product Designer for the Kit Check Product Management Team. Prior to joining Kit Check, he worked designing medical and inventory management software for Global Pharmaceutical Sourcing, as well as health systems for the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs.
Jeremy is originally from the Springsteen state of New Jersey and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Philosophy, along with a Master’s Degree in Information Management, both from the University of Maryland.

Brian Absetz is a QA Engineer on the Kit Check Engineering Team. Day to day, Brian stops the development team from introducing bugs into our applications by thoroughly testing nearly every change made. Prior to Kit Check, he was a Programmer Analyst at Barquin International, where he wrote grant management software, monitoring tools and authentication software.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from George Mason University and Associate of Science Degree, also in Computer Science, from Northern Virginia Community College.

Eric Brody is the UI Team Lead on the Kit Check Engineering Team. Before his tenure at Kit Check, he worked as an engineer at LivingSocial. Before that, he was a Flash / ActionScript developer at Genex and It’s About Time Products.
He went to George Mason University where he studied Digital Arts and Animation.

Christian Doyle is the API Team Lead on the Kit Check Engineering Team. Prior to Kit Check, he worked at LivingSocial as a software developer. Before that role, he was a developer at Global Strategies Group and a small RFID company.
